Hi, I’m Deborah. I became a licensed Oregon Realtor in 1995 and became a multi-million dollar sales person my second year in the business. My success comes in large part to being a people-person. I understand that Real Estate is more about people than it is about houses or money. I don’t ever “sell” a home. I don’t push buyers. I help people sort out their needs weighing the advantages and benefits of various residences until they’ve found what’s right for them. Rather than think in terms of “marketing” a home for a seller, I focus on effectively communicating how the house I’ve listed will support a person’s lifestyle. I do this because I know people don’t really buy homes, they buy lifestyles. In addition to my licensing and continuing education as a Realtor, my training and experience as a psychotherapist, Multnomah County Court Mediator, and Personal Success Coach help me tune into people’s likes, dislikes and needs in a Real Estate Transaction. This background also aids effective interactions with loan officers, Brokers, Inspectors, Appraisers, repair people and the endless cast of characters involved in every transaction. Well developed negotiating skills and extensive experience in the verbal and non-verbal nuances of communication heightens my ability to keep deals together and move them rapidly to successful closings. Five percent of my Real Estate income goes to programs (such as the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity) which support economical housing in the Portland Metropolitan area.
